The main idea when Formfjord developed Circus was to think not only of the product they were developing, but also the whole living space where life happens. Formfjord wanted to see the whole living space as an arena, a circus. ”Circus defines the room and sets the atmosphere – it even changes the behavior of the room. Creating a playful design makes the living room a wonderful place”, says Formfjord.
We understand the value of being able to create something unique. We offer different creative ways to customize our collection by offering a wide selection of RAL colors for lacquer or stained legs and frames.
Formfjord is a design duo consisting of Fabian Baumann and Sönke Hoof. Fabian Baumann has studied Mechanical Engineering at TU-Berlin and Industrial Design Engineering at TU-Delft. Sönke Hoof has studied Industrial Design at Kunsthochschule Weissensee Berlin after his apprenticeship as upholsterer.
